A digital display shows the ball pressure and then what to pump the ball up to. Out of the box, this is a solid pump. It's a wonderful design that doesn't feel cheap. The ball in the photo was inflated in seconds. I also tried a 10lb basket ball, which inflated quickly. The battery is still full after a few pump ups, proving this pump's battery efficiency. No downsides to mention, I am quite pleased with my purchase.
